Botanical name: Laurus nobilis
A fairly slow growing, large evergreen shrub or tree. Responds well to pruning so Bay Trees makes an ideal hedge and is a good topiary subject.
Good in large tubs and containers.
The leaves have a spicy aroma of cloves and eucalyptus and impart a delicious flavour to meat dishes and soups.
