Botanical name: Ocimum basilicum ‘Cinnamon’
Basil Cinnamon is a sweetly-spiced variety of Basil. It has deep green coloured leaves bursting with flavour. Fragrant, pale pink flowers are produced in summer and make charming cut flowers.
Pick the leaves just before use, to ensure optimum flavour in dishes such as chutneys, jellies, sauces and pesto. Works extremely well with apple-based dishes.
