Botanical name: Monarda didyma

An aromatic perennial with soft downy grey-green leaves used for herbal tea. Flowers are shades of mauve or red and appear in late summer.

Using Bergamot

Fresh leaves, used as an infusion in tea is said to help relieve insomnia, menstrual pain and nausea. Steam inhalation is helpful for sore throats.

Prefers part shade.
